To reach the Saudi-Jordanian borders from the east coast, you may choose one of the two roads; Al-Jouf via Hail which crosses the country from the middle, the other goes side by side with Saudi-Iraqi borders which is called North Road. 1400 km across the country by car filled this book with photos of scenes you may have missed, especially with the fact that I drove through both of the roads for several times.

My trip that stopped me to photograp what I could and enjoy the rest taught me a lot about the yesterday and today, and how big my country is. It taught me about Taima’s palm trees and Hail’s forts, the Byzantines and Ottomans, the Tapline and Saudi Aramco, … and about the Northeasterns.
